This introductory course provides a solid foundation to develop your skills and understanding within the media industries. If you want to find out about the many areas that make up the world of media, from TV and film to animation and photography, this is the course for you. It is aimed at giving you a broad introduction into the world of digital media and new technologies within this fast growing sector.If you are 16-18 years old and have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).You will also develop skills in the following subject area - Camera Techniques - Photography - Video editing and Techniques - Exploring Digital Photography - Animation - Creating art work - Technical Skills for performance - Musical performance - Communication & Interpersonal skills - Team working Skills
