Venue Britwell Centre Sessions 2 hours on 2 days a week for 10 weeks How can developing my English skills help me? This course will help you become more confident in reading, writing and focus on developing your speaking & listening skills, for work and everyday life. What is the aim of the course? This course is suitable for those individuals with no previous qualifications. By the end of the course you will develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and gain confidence to work towards a Functional Skills qualification. All learners will achieve at least one recognised Award and become more confident in: • Sitting an exam • everyday reading and picking up a book or newspaper • spelling, grammar, punctuation • form filling • getting started on writing • using a basic dictionary Can I get a certificate? • Work towards a recognised English Award or Certificate • Get an in-house certificate if you attend a minimum of 90% of classes What other skills do I need? This course is open to all abilities, you maybe able to read and write a little or you may want to develop your skills and work towards achieving a Level 2 qualification. What can I do after finishing this course? Brush up on your maths skills Help your child with homework Join a vocational/ICT course Develop your employability skills Become a volunteer Not sure?
