The IT Qualification (Level 2) is an internationally recognised qualification for computer users. The course improves learners understanding of computers and promotes efficient use of software. It opens up a variety of opportunities through the broad range of skills it provides. The qualification is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT. The aim of this course is to enable learners to pass different modules from within the Office suite to gain the Level 2 qualification. The following are the modules on offer: The course follows the British Computer Society's internationally recognised ECDL syllabus with the following modules covered as part of the course: - Module 1 - IT Security for Users - Module 2 - Computer Essentials - Module 3 - Word Processing Software - Module 4 - Spreadsheet Software - Module 5 - Database Software - Module 6 - Presentation Software - Module 7 - Online Essentials - Module 8 - Improving Productivity using IT Depending on the amount of time you manage to devote to your studies it may sometimes take more than one term to gain your qualification(s). Please speak to your tutor who will give you more details and answer any queries that you may have. None in class except maybe a notepad & pen to make notes, as relevant books and computer systems are made available to the learners for in-class use only. Should the learners want to continue their learning outside of the classroom, they will need to have a working Windows computer ideally with Microsoft Office and procure relevant study materials ((e)books) for themselves.
