Who is the course for: This one year course offers opportunities for you to develop with specialist teachers/industry professionals and to do numerous performances per term. Our students are typically those who wish to develop their technique and skills as performers. Course Content: Course units include: Acting skills Dance and movement skills Musical theatre Music, singing Vocal skills Individual and group work Theatre trips Collaborative work with other student groups. Student will also gain a functional skills qualification. Study Methods: Each project and its content will be clearly outlined by your tutor in the form of a brief. In a vocational context, that aims to replicate and prepare you for real live situations in the industry, you will be assessed through rehearsals, practical performances and reflections on your work. A variety of skills will be explored and you will be supported by your tutors to develop these. You will be expected to rehearse in your own time, in addition to during class time when working towards a performance. How is the course assessed: We are very pleased to be running the new UAL qualification. This course puts you, the student at the centre of your training. We look at the skills and strengths that you bring and develop them, helping you to reach your full potential. Using the format of a professional company, your work is guided towards consistently high standards expected from our industry. Where next - Further Studies: UAL Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts or Music. Successful students can work in a range of roles, these may include working in creative industries such as events, museums, production, tv, theatres, publishing, radio, advertising and marketing Where next - Job Opportunities: You will build the confidence and skills to tackle any interview or job you wish to pursue.
