Who is the course for: This one year introductory learning course in art & design is for those students who wish to develop their creative work across a range of disciplines. Course Content: The course consists of four main art & design projects and alongside these you will also study Functional Skills in English and follow a programme in personal and social development. You will learn about: Drawing and painting Graphic design Print making Textiles 3D design Health and safety The work of other artists,designers and crafts people. Study Methods: How is the course assessed: The course is continually assessed against units of study. Competence must be proved in all areas of study before the full award is granted. Where next - Further Studies: You can progress onto specialist courses such as the Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design, Media or Production Arts where you will be given an opportunity to continue to develop your creativity, in more of the specialist areas. Where next - Job Opportunities: Successful students can work in a range of art and design based roles.
