Mindfulness is a method of building a moment by moment awareness of life. Recognising thoughts and feelings, bodily sensation and awareness of the surrounding environment. Practising mindfulness can bring a variety of physical, psychological and social benefits. It reduces stress and improves mental wellbeing. This course will teach basic techniques of mindfulness which both relax and empower. A variety of techniques will be learned including, breathing techniques, mindfulness in walking, the use of art and colouring in mindfulness, imagination and visualisation and meditation. The course will also examine ways to change destructive behaviour patterns and how to avoid being affected by the destructive behaviour of those around you.
