Are you at home behind the camera lens? Do you see yourself as the next Ansel Adams? Or do you simply want to try your hand at something new? This course is designed for beginners with no previous knowledge or experience in photography. Throughout the course you will examine basic portrait and landscape styles, apply your new skills to your own work and be taught how to use equipment confidently. After grasping the essential principles of photography, you will look at what makes a successful photograph. You will gain an understanding about "what's in the frame" and be introduced to simple composition principles. Although technical explanations are a feature of the course we try and keep them to a minimum. Please be aware that in addition to the evening sessions there will be three two-hour (Saturday & Sunday) photo location shoots.
