The course develops understanding of the wider aspects of Physical Education, how the body is affected by physical activities and also the place of sport within society as well as developing skills of self-assessment and development of personal skill levels. Physical Education students have a wide range of opportunities open to them in areas such as education, sports science, physiotherapy, the leisure industry, coaching, the armed forces, and emergency services. Students can continue to study Physical Education and Sports Science into Higher Education or move directly into employment in a number of sectors.
