Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care QCF This qualification prepares learners to work with children between birth and 5 years, with knowledge of children up to 7 years. The qualification consists of four themes 1: Introducing the role of the early years practitioner 2: Legislation, framework and professional practice 3: Play, development and learning for school 4: Professional development There are 14 mandatory units with 33 credits. Our course consists of a number of classroom based workshops, with assessor support to guide you to complete an E-portfolio with course work, projects, assignments, independent study and research. You need to be in a work placement of 10 hours per week for the duration of the course. Progressing to Level 3 Early Years Educator or similar.
