This course is for complete beginners. If you have previous experience or knowledge of this subject, a more advanced course may be more appropriate. You cannot enrol for this course online, you will have to contact one of our centres. This course is for beginners who wish to learn basic soft furnishing skills and techniques to produce cushions and curtains. What will I learn? Principles of health and safety in the sewing room and how to use tools and equipment How to estimate and record amounts for fabrics and other materials Select and work with fabrics and related materials How to operate the sewing machine and overlocker Learn a range of techniques for the construction of soft furnishings
