During this course you will learn about the development of children from 0-3 years. You will look at physical development and how play encourages progress. You will also learn about different types of childcare provision and the need for a safe environment. This is a part-time course, leading to the Open Awards Level 1 Award in Child Development. Candidates referred by Job Centre Plus will need to attend a pre-course assessment session. What will I learn? Learn about the development of children from 0-3 years. Learn how toys and play materials encourage child development. Be able to outline the different types of childcare development. Understand the need for a safe environment.
