UPDATED 20161212 15:53:25

This vocational course aims to develop your skills in developing your response to the six great journalistic questions, identifying suitable stories, and sourcing and researching stories. You will explore a variety of types of journalism and identify suitable writing styles and other treatments appropriate to those stories. You will also be expected to write for a range of platforms and consider how online writing differs from print-based media. You will be asked to demonstrate these skills through both practical tasks and written texts. By the end of the course, you will have developed a portfolio of your writing and a reflective log. You will also have evaluated your learning from visiting speakers.
