GCSE History

UPDATED 20161212 15:53:24

When you study Ancient History, you learn to understand and evaluate written material, to express yourself fluently in written and oral communication, and to research, organise and present arguments. The skills developed in the GCSE will be transferable to an A-Level programme. For A-Level candidates this course would be a supplementary course for students wishing to learn more about ancient cultures in a broader context. For GCSE students this course will lay a solid foundation for progress to an A-Level programme in Ancient History, History, Classical Civilisation or any Humanities, English or Languages A-Level subjects. The study of Ancient History complements languages, Classical Civilisation (NC109), Archaeology (NC102) and History (NC128, 129 & 130).
