This is a one-year course which provides a good introduction for students who hope to enter a career in the Uniformed Public Services: (The Uniformed Public Services are the Police, Fire Service, Armed Forces, Ambulance Service, Prison Service, Revenue and Customs and Coastguard). You will take part in outdoor activities, carry out research projects and study situations that affect the public sector. The First Diploma is a Level 2 (Intermediate) course, equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grade A* - C.
