Name: Sport Level 1 Qualification title: BTEC Introductory Diploma in Sport Qualification type: Other regulated/accredited qualification Assessment Students will be expected to study in between timetabled sessions in order to complete course work. It will also be necessary for students to undertake assessment work tasks at home and during free time.There are no formal exams for the Diploma. Assessment is continuous throughout the year and consists of a variety of theory and practical tasks, including written reports, presentations and observations.Learners will also be required to complete their Functional Skills in maths and English.Work Experience is included in the study programme and will provide you with an insight into the different sectors for future employment. You will attend a variety of residential visits, expeditions and outdoor activities. You will have to purchase some outdoor equipment and you will be expected to pay up to £300 for uniform and visits to London, Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons, Activity Centres and various military, police and fire service visits.Financial assistance may be available for students who qualify. Students should contact Student Services at the college for further details and a bursary application form.
