This programme of study is designed to introduce you to theories and practice relating to work with children, young people and their families, and to facilitate the choice of a career path that can be followed through postgraduate study towards professional recognition. Routes available include teacher training and the Postgraduate Diploma in Youth and Community work. The degree pathway is flexible, offering opportunities to specialise at Levels 5 and 6 as you build experience through placement and study. The programme is designed to produce highly qualified employment ready practitioners who are equipped to undertake graduate practitioner employment across the children/young peoples workforce, and to be ready to undertake postgraduate study towards professional validation in a chosen leading role.
