Sport & Physical Activity Development BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3

Within this course you will study 15 units in total. There are 6 mandatory units, 1 specialised unit and 8 optional units. Each of the units is designed to give students an insight into the sports industry.The course aims to offer both theoretical and practical lessons to enhance learning within this discipline.The mandatory units are:Anatomy and physiologyFitness training and programming for health, sport and well-beingDevelopment and provision of sportProfessional development in the sports industryResearch methods in sportApplication of fitness testing and training.The specialist unit is:Sports psychology.There will be an opportunity to take part in residential activity days and be part of the Team Sports Programme. There will be additional costs relating to residentials (£150+) and off-site activities.

Entry requirements

General stationery and a USB pen need to be provided by the learner. As a sports department, we pride ourselves on our reputation and professionalism in the area. This is evident in the way our students look around the college and, more importantly, whilst representing Dudley College at sports events and during work placements.We have put a dress code package together at a cost of approximately £130 based on the needs of students for their course, Team Sports training and work experience.You will need to pre-order the package during enrolment.Please note: Prices are subject to change.
