The two year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma allows learners to explore all aspects of business enterprise, as well as developing essential industry skills required to run a business. The course provides a forum through which learners can benefit from and interact with business people and entrepreneurs to enable them to put their learning in context and learn from professionals. Students will develop as individuals, giving them the confidence to stand out in the world of work either through self-employment, as an employer, employee or to succeed at university. The completed diploma is the equivalent to 3 A levels.The students will develop a business idea over the two years of this programme. During the first year they are supported to establish themselves and the business concepts and then during the second year they are encouraged to the take the next step to set up their business.
