This career-led course is held at our specialist Marine Skills Centre in Woolston where you can choose to study one of three pathways - Marine Engineering, Marine Electrical or Boat Building. The marine engineering route will cover marine engine maintenance, fault-finding, replacement of components and marine electrics. The boatbuilding pathway will consist of marine joinery, construction of hulls and boat structures and the use of composites materials. Marine electrical will cover small boat systems, navigation and instrumentation, testing, fault finding and commissioning.
