BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (QCF) (Level 3)

The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Construction is a one year qualification which runs over 34 weeks. Attendance is one day per week for part time learners. For full time learners attendance is 2.5 days per week.The course offers candidates three construction pathways: Construction; Civil Engineering and Building Services Engineering. All three pathways entail studying six units over the year for part time and nine units for full time; four units are generic to all pathways whilst the remaining two units are specific to the candidates’ pathway chosen. Progress is monitored individually by teacher-qualified lecturers who are also experts in the profession of construction; providing personal support and guidance; helping the candidate to develop their learning skills and to reach their potential. Candidates are giving the opportunity to learn progressively starting from small-scale and straightforward topics; progressing to larger more complex themes.
