This interesting and motivational follow on course is designed to further develop and improve the practical techniques learnt on Step 1. This will help increase your self-awareness, support your personal confidence and assertiveness as well help to cultivate a range of relationships both personal and professional.You will: Identify challenging personal goals to work on during sessions and independently Continue to learn how to think like a confident person and how to overcome negative feelings Further explore and discuss physical self-image and how to improve it Develop and improve emotional intelligence techniques and how it can be employed to support relationships This course will encourage you to increase your confidence and ability to make informed choices about personal and professional issues, helping to reduce social occlusion and isolation. You will need to have successfully completed Step 1 in this subject to be able to enrol on this course.You will need to be prepared to take an active part in the sessions and to challenge some of your thoughts and beliefs. This course may be of particular help to you if you are on the verge of a life change, are looking for work or thinking of changing your career direction.You need to consider the type of information that you are prepared to share with others in the class. However, this is a skills development course and you may wish to talk to a Doctor or other professional before joining this class if you have particular issues that you need to explore. After completing Step 2, you will have gained some basic knowledge to enable you to continue your learning at Step 3.Other courses at the next level may be offered by Skills & Learning or other local providers.
