You will learn how to store and handle materials, erect basic working platforms (tower scaffolds), work effectively and safely as a team, hang doors, fix architrave and skirting, fix door frames and linings, case in services, lay joisting and floors and erect trussed rafter roofs. The course offers an 'option route' to a qualification in carpentry. You are able to choose between Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery. You will study a combination of theory and practical units, with examinations at the end of each unit, plus a final exam at the end of the year.
