You will learn about mechanics, waves quantum physics, matter and molecules - plus electricity and magnetism, as well as nuclear physics. You will have plenty of hands on experience in the laboratory where you will develop your skills to identify and assess materials limits etc. A2 takes your study further explaining many physical phenomena. The modules gives you a deeper knowledge and understanding of modern physics including particle physics and nuclear energy. They also highlight some of the uses of physics encountered in many areas of employment and in everyday life especially that of energy and radiation/isotope harnessing. Mathematics at AS is a good accompaniment to physics.
