This qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in this sector and their national recognition by employers allows direct progression to employment. Or, if you wish to complete a university degree it will allow you to progress to Year 2 of a degree at one of our partner universities in London; the University of West London or London Metropolitan University. An additional benefit of studying this HNC with us is that if you wish to enter nursing, through our partnership with the University of West London, you can be accepted onto the first year of a nursing degree (subject to articulation) with them after completion of your HNC. The course consists of taught elements, an individual research element, and a vocational element requiring students to have a minimum of 200 hours in a range of placement settings. Assessments will be via a range of coursework assignments, including a portfolio of evidence, presentations, timed essays, reports, and research tasks.
