GCSE English for Adults

UPDATED 20161206 15:58:51

On this intensive course, you will complete five pieces of written coursework and possibly three assessed oral assignments in the first term. Coursework includes essays on Shakespeare and on a prose text, a poetry assignment and two pieces of creative writing. You will study a collection of poetry and practice comprehension based on broadsheet articles and other nonfiction material. A high standard of accuracy is needed to achieve a grade C or above so students are expected to work hard on their grammar, spelling, punctuation and essay planning. Study times are one class of 3 hours per week. We offer daytime classes and also evening classes from 5.45pm - 9.00pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
