This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. To register your interest please contact our Centre for Apprenticeships and Worklplace Learning on 01843 605009 (Or email employerrelations@eastkent.ac.uk) This course introduces students to a wide range of skills and knowledge relevant to Health care and Laboratory professions. Learners will work towards: Competence: Edexel Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities. Knowledge: Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science (QCF). Literacy/Numeracy/ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at an appropriate level. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units in the workplace to be completed. Apprentices will also be required to study a number of optional units linked to specific industry requirements. The course provides the support of a College Assessor and workplace supervisor to ensure that every learner is able to achieve their full potential.
