This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) This course is distance learning however the learner is expected to meet with a trainer/assessor on a monthly basis. Both options consist of work based units of competence which is anticipated will be completed within eighteen months. There is relevant support available such as: Telephone/ email support during office hours , Access to Learning Curve Resources and Individual Tutorials. Learners will work towards: Combined qualification: Pathway 1 - L3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce Pathway 2 - L3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Social Care Pathway) Literacy/Numeracy/ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at an appropriate level. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units in the workplace to be completed. Apprentices will be required to study a number of optional units linked to specific industry requirements. The learner is expected to take ownership of their award. Full support will be given recognising differentiation in its entirety.
