This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. Both options consist of work based units of competence which is anticipated will be completed within eighteen months. There is relevant support available such as: Telephone/ email support during office hours , Access to Learning Curve Resources and Individual Tutorials. Learners will work towards: Combined qualification: Pathway 1 - L3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce Pathway 2 - L3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Social Care Pathway) Literacy/Numeracy/ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at an appropriate level. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units in the workplace to be completed. Apprentices will be required to study a number of optional units linked to specific industry requirements. The learner is expected to take ownership of their award. Full support will be given recognising differentiation in its entirety.
