This Study Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. Candidates gain the Sign-making Apprenticeship Level 2 framework qualification by completing and achieving: NVQ 2: NVQ Diploma in Signmaking (QCF) Level 2 - Work-based evidence portfolio. Maths, English and ICT: Fulfilled by completion of Maths, English and ICT at Level 1. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the Apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units concentrating on health and safety to be completed. Apprentices will be required to complete a number of optional units linked to specific skills requirements. There is an expectation that Apprentices will undertake personal study in order to demonstrate knowledge of the subject area, and compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence.
