A Level Biology is a fascinating and fun but challenging subject. Building on the structure from GCSE, this course will develop your understanding of the living world, including DNA, cells, biochemistry, enzymes, homeostasis, disease, the digestive, circulatory and nervous systems, genetics and ecology. The course is delivered through lectures, coursework, independent study, group work and experiments, and there may be the opportunity to go on field trips too. Studying Biology at A Level will equip you with transferable skills such as making analysis and evaluative conclusions for business, economics and finance-related careers; apprenticeships; or higher education courses for agriculture, environmental science, forensic science, genetics, health, medicine, sport science, teaching and veterinary science, amongst others. Biology also complements other A Level subjects such as Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Geography and Psychology.B in Biology OR BB in Double Award Science required (This must be Core and Additional not core/applied and a B must be in Biology)
