Throughout this course you will study Film and Cinema as a medium as an art form and as a social and economic institution. You will engage with a wide range of different types of films developing your skills of observation critical analysis and personal reflection through both a written film analysis in the first year and a film research project in the second year. Over the 2 years you will also complete two practical pieces of coursework. In your first year (AS) you will produce a digital storyboard for your sequence of a film that you originate. During the second year of the course you will have the option to plan and produce either a written script or a short films. You will be expected to have your image and voice recorded as a requirement of the course.
