A comprehensive work based training scheme with 'off the job' learning, to develop trainee supervisors, managers and technologists in the food manufacturing industry. Units are chosen in collaboration with the learner and the employer to best suit individual needs. Two study blocks each year support training that takes place in the workplace. You may also be required to attend short courses chosen by your employer. The certificate is designed to help individual develop their writing skills and individuals can choose to top up to a diploma if they wish to take on further units as part of their individual development.

You will have your own tailored training programme detailing which departments you will be working in, each with its own specific learning objectives. In the workplace, you will apply what you have learnt, practise new skills and develop your vocational competence. You will meet regularly with your training coordinator to review progress and discuss your development.
