Level 3 Diploma in Accounting AAT

This is a work-related qualification which will develop all aspects of manual accounting including: double entry bookkeeping adjustments, financial records and preparing both cost and financial accounts. The course will cover the construction, closure and transfer of account balances, production of final accounts and the VAT system. It also uses spreadsheets in an accounting context and discusses the importance of professional ethics to the accounting world. There are six units within the Diploma, four of them are assessed by a computer based exam which is set and marked by the AAT. The Professional Ethics and Spreadsheets units are assessed in College by an e-assessment. On completion of the course you will receive the nationally recognised accounting qualification, AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

However, the Professional Ethics unit is taught at Level 2 at Tameside College, so if you have not already completed this unit then you will have to continue to attend College until the end of July for extra evening sessions in order to complete the unit.
