BIIAB Level 3 Diploma in Retail Skills (Management) (QCF)

Level 3 is designed to provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills and understanding they require to carry out their job role and to support their future progression within the sector. Advanced Level apprentices will train in senior, specialist or multi-channel retail roles e.g. Senior Sales Assistants, Craft Experts, Style Advisors, Visual Merchandise Supervisors, Team Leaders, department or Store Managers, Content Editor and Buying Assistant. Apprentices must complete or have completed one English and transferable skills qualifications listed below in order to successfully complete their Apprenticeship and this will carry the QCF 5 credit values. Functional Skills in English, Maths or ICT - min Level 2 Key Skills in Communication, Maths or ICT - min Level 2 GCSE English, Maths or ICT - min Grade C A' Level or AS Level in English, Maths or ICT - min Grade E Progression includes: on completion of this Apprenticeship, apprentices will be competent to work as a Team leader/Supervisor, Store Manager or Department Manager; following further training & development, apprentices may progress to more senior positions such as Area Manager or into specialist areas such as learning and development or warehousing; Higher level retail qualifications in buying and merchandising, visual merchandising or generic qualification sin management; Foundation degrees in Retailing (other titles available), including a technology assisted version of the programme BA Honours in Retail.
