History of Art- Painting the Old Testament

UPDATED 20161129 10:41:34

Many beautiful works of art have been painted to illustrate these ancient and rich episodes of the Old Testament. Beginning with Genesis, we will follow how they have been represented through art history. Different periods and artists have interpreted these narratives in their own times and yet the threads are enduring and recognisable. I hope that you will join me to enjoy this new set of lectures that begins in January.
