Art Appreciation: The Classical Origins of the Renaissance

We will discover how painting, sculpture and the related arts of the 15th and 16th centuries in Italy and Northern Europe were influenced by a revival of interest in the 'antique' art forms of the ancient world of Greece and Rome. The Renaissance is a 'rebirth' and this course will reveal the evidence.
