This qualification is developed and delivered in line with specific procedures to ensure they are of high quality and fit for purpose. Learners have more options to progress and they will build a portfolio of evidence that shows off their knowledge and skills and employers can view the portfolio to gain a greater understanding of the learner’s skills and experience. This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding required for employment or career progression within the IT sector or to move on to further study at degree level. In addition, the wide range of topics covered will give you the flexibility to choose specific roles within the wider IT sector, depending on your own needs or interests. For example if your interests are in learning more about Software Engineering, Programming or Games Programming then you will learn how to develop programs in some of the most in-demand programming languages; such as Java, C++ and C#. Cyber and Network Security are also areas where currently, demand for skilled technical staff far outstrips the trained staff available. To provide you with the essential skills you need for employment in this field you will be taught how to provide Internet and Network security for organisations and the ways that Hackers work to infiltrate systems. In addition to these specialist skills you will also learn the essential theory that underpins computer systems and the basics of how computers and network systems work. This course is the equivalent to the first year of university undergraduate degree and is cheaper at just 2/3 the price.
