This course is an additional A-Level for those who wish to take the study of Mathematics to a higher level. The A-Level Further Maths Course studies a further six modules: three Further Pure Maths Modules and three more Applied Maths Modules. The Further Pure Maths Modules extend the study to include a variety of topics such as Matrices, Complex Numbers and Differential Equations. Applied Maths is also studied in greater depth. Much of the course is studied after school so as to avoid conflict with other subjects and thus to make the option available to a greater number of students. Three modules are taken in each of Year Twelve and Year Thirteen. Students wishing to take the subject for one year only will have completed the course for Further Maths AS-Level. Students taking the Further Maths course will follow a modified combination of modules for their Maths A Level so that they are better prepared for the concepts they with meet in Further Maths. Further Mathematicians A Level Maths modules will be AS: C1, C2, C3. A2: C4, M1, M2.
