This course develops understanding of the ways in which the media works. It is a broad and interesting subject that encourages investigation of many aspects of the world today. It includes the study of TV programmes films advertising popular music and newspapers and of new technologies such as the internet. Students will study the ways in which the media industry works and how audiences receive and use the media products. It is a subject that will develop students' critical creative and analytical skills.
