Why study Beauty Therapy? The level 1 certificate is a wonderful qualification for those without a formal qualification and those who would like to progress to the level 2 diploma and a career in beauty. The level 2 diploma is split up into modules that range from health and safety to manicures and makeup. It will develop and nurture your skills in the management of skin conditions, waxing, eyebrow treatments and eyelash treatments. Both the level 1 certificate and the level 2 diploma usually allow for progression on to a level 3 diploma. What does the course cover and what is expected of you? L1 - Introduction to the Beauty Sector, Health and Safety, Skin Care, Basic Manicure and Pedicure, Make-up Application & Nail Art. This is a one-year introductory Beauty course where students begin by working on each other and progress to working with paying clients when they reach a level of competency.
