Edexcel Politics has three components. The first component focuses on UK Politics, with 4 units within that: Democracy & Participation, Political Parties, Electoral Systems and Voting Behaviour & the Media. The second component is about the UK Government, focusing on 4 other units: the Constitution, Parliament, the Prime Minister & the Government, and Relations between institutions. In addition, students will study the core political ideas in British politics: Conservatism, Liberalism and Socialism. The third and final component is Global Politics. This explores the theories of global politics, sovereignty & globalisation, Global Governance, Human Rights & the Environment, the types & nature of power, and Regionalism.
