Photography A Level

UPDATED 20161123 14:52:32

Students will be introduced to a range of photographic media, techniques and processes. They will explore the work of other photographers and a range of wider contextual sources, including historical and contemporary work from a range of cultures. Students must demonstrate their understanding of different styles of photography and other areas of art and design. It is recommended that students have access to their own digital camera, preferably a DSLR. Students taking either the AS or the full A Level award must be prepared to give extra time to studies outside normal lesson time. They must have shown enthusiasm and commitment to Art or Photography at GCSE level and/or have a folder of personal work which demonstrates their suitability for the course. Producing photographic work and presenting it to the required standard takes dedication and a passion to succeed.
