Performing Arts - CTEC Level 3 Diploma

UPDATED 20161123 12:21:41

In Performing Arts you will study acting, singing and dance from a vocational perspective, learning the skills a performer needs to progress to either higher level study or in some cases, initial entry into the industry. Practical work drives the course, but there are also a significant element of written assignments, some of which are externally examined. Over the year you will take part in practical workshops and assessed performances to audiences as well as creating work to a commission brief. It is an opportunity to study the three performance disciplines at a higher level which will enable better progression to a university or drama school, in the first instance and then potentially working in the industry as a career following successful auditions. The course allows you to develop self-confidence; presentation skills; personal discipline; time management and group work skills which are highly regarded by both employers and higher education.
