During the last twenty years pneumatics has moved into numerous industrial applications. Today, pneumatic components are found in virtually all industry sectors. Pneumatics maintenance operators install, maintain, repair, rebuild or modify existing pneumatic or fluid systems, controls and components. This course will introduce and familiarise you with wide variety of concepts, providing you with a good grounding in pneumatic terminology and the design, construction and operation of pneumatic components. What will you be learning? This course is a mix of theory work and practical hands on training in our industry standard workshops. You will gain extensive knowledge of a wide variety of pneumatic components. This includes reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, circuit diagrams and symbols, as well as the construction of control systems. The programme will include mandatory requirements of the Apprenticeship framework; an NVQ, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT.
