The Level 3 BTEC qualification is a course designed with the technical person in mind. It combines both practical ability and the ability to solve problems, alongside using new e learning tools such as Blogging and Cloud Storage to presenting work portfolios. The course will help build practical and theoretic skills and will allow students to gain an understanding of the role of an IT Technician. The students will be able to work on computers at the school, thus allowing them hands on experience. Any practical work carried out by students can be logged and used for assessment purposes. Students taking this course will learn how to understand the IT industry including communication and job seeking skills, assess and recommend computer components for a client, understand the uses of e Commerce and website development and create systems to manage information.The course is ideally suited to someone looking to pursue a career in IT technical support or looking to study an IT course at University.
