Do you want to increase your knowledge of mental health and a wide range of commonly diagnosed mental health conditions, how they can affect people's day to day lives and how they can be successfully managed? If so, this is the course for you and it can also help improve your employment prospects. You cover signs, triggers and symptoms, how mental health can affect an individual's ability to cope and function as well as looking at guidance on how to potentially manage and support people with their illness on a day-to-day basis. You must be 18 or over to enrol. As this course requires a good level of English, you will undertake an assessment during the first class to confirm your place. This course is delivered via distance learning and takes 28 weeks to complete. Students undertaking distance learning courses must be motivated to meet deadlines and be able to produce detailed quality work without supervision. Please note that although the majority of this course is delivered via distance learning, you will be expected to attend College on a Tuesday afternoon on alternate weeks, this will support you to achieve your qualification within your planned timescales.
