Horticulture Level 1

This is an excellent starting point if you are completely new to Horticulture. You gain a good working knowledge by combining practical projects with some classroom based study. Learn how to prepare soil, grow and care for plants, plant them out, maintain them and look after tools and machinery. You spend up to two days gaining vital work experience. In addition, learn skills which will help you with your studies and job prospects such as Personal & Social Development plus important Functional Skills qualifications in maths, English and ICT. As part of the Foundation Learning offer, this course gives you an introduction to lots of other subject options as well as Horticulture.
