BSc(Hons) Sports Performance and Coaching

This course has been designed to help you develop skills and knowledge in order to develop and critically analyse long-term coaching programmes in relation to the impact made on an athlete's performance. You will also evaluate theories in relation to nutritional aids and how they can enhance performance. You will study subjects to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge about running and leading coaching sessions across a variety of sports. You will demonstrate the ability to critically analyse psychological demands on athletes and the development of coping strategies. You will complete a project on a topic agreed with your tutor in order to submit a dissertation. Students will also have the opportunity to complete additional awards which may include L3 VTCT Sports Injuries L4 VTCT Sports Massage and L2 Personal Training.
