This course includes theory and practical study. It is accredited by the Register of Exercise Professionals and covers the content needed to prepare learners to work in the fitness industry. Professional and vocational qualifications lead to accreditation be it from an examining body such as City & Guilds or Edexcel or professional recognition such as from Construction Skills or Lantra. The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) recognises vocational achievement through the attainment of credits for units of study and for whole qualifications. The smallest qualification is the Award then the Certificate and the largest is the Diploma although there are other intermediate qualifications also available. The duration of study will typically reflect the size of the qualification.
