The Greenwich Degree Apprenticeship aims to develop your practical information technology skills together with the project management, interpersonal and business skills required to operate successfully as an IT professional. You're expected to have a job with your employer that allows you to develop the knowledge you acquire at University in the workplace. The aim is to integrate academic learning and on-the-job practical training to ensure that you graduate with the experience that employers need, now and in the future. On successful completion of the programme, you'll be awarded an Honours degree BSc Digital and Technology Solutions. The aim of the programme is to produce Digital & Technology Solutions Professionals who are capable of making a real contribution to their employer on commencing their roles. It will equip apprentices with key skills and knowledge, including: • competence in technology solutions to form a solid foundation for further development • an overview of business operations, procedures and culture applicable to a sustainable career as an Digital & Technology Solutions Professional • practical skills in a chosen area of IT occupational competence • a real workplace learning pedagogy in order to develop the competences required by employers • behavioural skills to engage effectively with staff all levels in the organisation • a critical understanding of the theoretical, conceptual and practical issues central to the practice of developing, implementing and maintaining technology solutions. • problem-solving and modelling skills appropriate to developing technology solutions for business • experience in a technology solutions project oriented environment • a minimum of three years applied occupational experience in technology solutions
