Our new hospitality and catering courses start this September and will provide students with formal professional vocational craft skill qualifications. If you are considering a new career in hospitality and catering and you are interested in becoming a chef, love food, or want to work in the restaurant, hotel and catering sector, our range of new courses are ideal for you. The hospitality and catering industry is dynamic, exciting and rewarding, with a wealth of varied job opportunities on offer, from working as a chef in a hotel or restaurant to contract catering, events and functions or fine dining. You will learn new skills and knowledge in a professional environment linked to internationally recognised qualifications will provide you with the first steps in your new career. Students will study at our Orpington Campus and learn in our new modern, fully-equipped classrooms and industry-standard practical 'commercial work environments', including teaching kitchens and professional-standard food production and pastry areas. The College provides students with the opportunity to gain real work experience at an early stage in its own trade-standard kitchens and restaurant open to the public. Our close links with industry partners at top London and UK restaurants will ensure that students can take advantage of some great employment opportunities such as work experience and Apprenticeships, along with visits and mentoring from guest chefs. We will help you to realise and develop your entrepreneurial skills during the programme and you will have the opportunity to participate in activities including running a market stall and pop-up restaurant. As this course is intensive it will take place over a two consecutive day period. The College may be able to assist you to secure a job opportunity to compliment your programme.
